Maggie Austin's Apple Bread

Meal #7:


We had a lot of apples in the refrigerator, so I decided to make one loaf of  Maggie Austin's Apple Bread. It definitely tastes better than it looks.  This recipe is a favorite because it uses two cups of apples to one cup of flour...making it delicious but seemingly impossible to appear cute.  Every time I've made the bread it appears this rustic and tastes amazing! As usual, I cut the sugar in half and omitted nuts because we didn't have any.

 Lizzie thought it smelled so good that she wanted some as soon as it came out of the oven.  I placed the loaf on the cooling rack and stepped out of the kitchen for a minute.  By the time I got back it looked like a mouse named Lizzie had eaten some!  You may be wondering, was this picture before or after the nibble incident...sadly, it was before.
